Minutes from August 1, 2011 Meeting

ACT – Advancing the Community Of Tahoka, Texas

First United Methodist Church – Tahoka, Texas

5:25 pm Quorum Present: Vernon Baker, Frances Truehart, Dee Dee Pridmore, Roger Locke and Shannon
Lawson.

Meeting was called to order and Vernon led the Invocation. The minutes were unanimously approved.

Financial report showed a balance of $42,585.18

Vernon had visited with Skeens at Indigo Spin about the pricing for logo identity. He reported that they
could help us get started for approximately $1000.00. We discussed and all agreed that we would meet with the representative from Skeens and get that started as soon as possible since this is really the first step needed in marketing our town.

We discussed the Mini Park – Phase 2 (construction). It was determined that adding concrete under the
rubber play area would increase the life of the rubber by approximately 10 years and that there would be no drainage problems. Vernon moved that we add the concrete under the play area, Dee Dee seconded and all approved.

The next meeting was set for Thursday September 1, 2011 at 5:15pm at the First United Methodist Church.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:50.
