The first item of discussion was the Signage on the highway into Tahoka. Frances will get with TxDot and
get blueprints that are already drawn up to Greenstreet. We decided to allot up to $3,500.00 for feasibility
study and plans. We will authorize Greenstreet to draw up the plans. Frances stated that the City of Tahoka currently has a maintenance agreement with TxDot to maintain the north triangle.
We were unable to look at the blueprints for the MiniPark due to printer problems but those will be emailed to each member next week. We looked at a cover for the play area and agreed it looked good. Julia will have a master plan to present to the City Council on Monday (Vernon will present) and in April we will meet and tweak the plans some more.
We looked at an estimate from MEP on the pool project. They will need to rework the water lines
completely. The city would help with demo and drain lines. We voted to put a tall toilet and handrails in the restrooms. Vernon will oversee project and we will cover all exposed pipes to ward off any problems.
Vernon suggested that the fencing and posts from the tennis curtsy be recycled and given to the community garden project.
We will look at doing a feasibility study economic development of the 380/87 corner.
