Minutes from November 7, 2012 Meeting

ACT – Advancing the Community Of Tahoka, Texas

Lynn County Hospital Meeting room – Tahoka, Texas

12:20 pm Quorum Present: Dee Dee Pridmore, Vernon Baker, Frances Truehart and Julia Allen.

Meeting was called to order and Vernon led the Invocation. The minutes were unanimously approved as
presented.

Financial report showed a balance of $53,206.21.

Julia reported on the mini-park project. Benches, tables and trash cans are ordered and have been ½ paid
for. Mitch wanted to see the benches before he poured the concrete for them. Julia reported that the other ½ will need to be paid within 5 days of receipt of equipment. Vernon reported that the city was asking about re-roofing the pavilion. Mitch states the slab is in good shape. The roof needs to be replaced over the pavilion and on the awning covering the other benches as well.

Welcome Signage was discussed and Frances reported that the sign company states they have begun cutting out the letters and should have them finished soon. We discussed putting up Christmas lights at the corner for the holidays. (Possibly the Thanksgiving weekend)

The Mural Project was discussed. DK Construction never came through with a bid so we will pursue other
avenues. We have set a goal for the fall of 2013 (Harvest Festival) to have the old paint cleaned up.

We discussed the media at the Life Enrichment Center. Vernon will get some pricing and get back to us.  Vernon will be in charge of that project.
