Minutes from February 3, 2015 Meeting

Poka Lambro Office – Tahoka, Texas

5:15 pm Quorum Present: Dee Dee Pridmore, Julia Allen, Frances Truehart and Jerry Ford,Jr

Meeting was called to order and Julia led the invocation. The minutes were unanimously approved as presented.

Financial report showed a balance of $156,197.21.

Frances had nothing new on the Welcome Signage project

Julia reported that she has talked with Tony Alvarez about re-covering the gazebo and the two small bench covers at the Mini-Park. Roofs were damaged in hail storm and the wood is rotting. Tony will give a bid for replacing current roofs with metal. Julia is asking for $10,000.00 for this phase of the project. The board unanimously agreed to $10,000.00 for roofs and benches under the two west awnings.

Jerry Ford Jr has talked to Jerry Webster and Raymond about what is needed at the pool to have it in good shape for the summer. He will check back with the city after they have had a chance to check it out. The board proposed spending $10,000.00 on plumbing at the pool this year.

DeeDee Pridmore had nothing new on the mural park.

Julia stated that Tejas Housing states they lost their chance to build in Tahoka this year but they can try again in 2016 if we have land available.

Jerry Ford Jr stated he talked to Bill Chancy about possible land acquisitions. Bill states the land is for sale and he knows his price is high but he is not willing to come down. Jerry will check into other properties in town.

Frances Truehart announced that she is turning in her resignation to Jerry Webster effective when a new member is agreed on. Frances stated she talked to Donnis Scott and she is interested in being a member of the ACT Board. Her name will be brought up to City Council for consideration.

The next meeting was set for March 3. 2015
