Minutes from July 6, 2017 Meeting

City Hall – Tahoka, Texas

5; 30 pm Quorum Present: Dee Dee Pridmore, Carmen Chapa, Gary Jones, Julia Allen, and Tim Pledger
Community members in attendance: Barbara Jaquess, Cathy Ross

Meeting was called to order and Tim led the invocation.

The minutes were approved.

Financial report showed a balance of $244,595.19

Project #2:

City Council approved $3000.00 for the hiring of a firm to develop a true plan for the mini-park. Julia has some companies she has reached out to. The Board also approved an additional $230 for the ramp at the mini park. Moved by Tim, second by Carmen, unanimous.

Project #3:

The electrical work has been completed. The City has asked the board to help out with the payment of this project. The Board voted to pay $2,128.66 which will cover the equipment and the labor will be paid by the City. Moved by Carmen second by Tim. Unanimous.

Project #4:

The downtown mural project will be tabled for now. Moved by Julia, second by Gary. Unanimous.

Project #9:

Tahoka Auto submitted an application which was approved by the Board. A check for $1625.00 will be awarded to them. Moved by Tim. Second by Gary. Unanimous.

E. Promotions: Tim presented the website. Still working on it but looks great.

Town Crier: Will be moved to a completed project. Moved by Julia, second by Carmen. Unanimous

DeeDee is working on getting signs for the Façade project.

High Ground of Texas: Nothing to discuss.

F. President: Computer is in.

Executive Director: Nothing to report.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:12 pm.
