Minutes from October 15, 2019 Meeting

Tahoka Economic Development Board held its regular Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at City Hall. The following board members were present: Bill Schoemann, Al Garret, Star Bray, Worth Whitworth, and Monica Stephens.

The meeting was called to order by Bill and Worth led the invocation. The minutes from the June Meeting were reviewed and approved.

Al Garret was introduced as a new member.

The financial report stated that there was roughly $367,000 in the account.

The Board discussed that the City Council approved and recommended a 1 year probationary period for and Economic Development Director. A salary of $30,000- 40,000 per year with a $500.00 travel allowance was also approved.

Al made a motion to accept a bid for a roof at the part from Ortiz Construction for $7,000 which was seconded by Monica.

The board discussed that the Senior Citizens had received a clean audit and artwork to be hung downtown.

A motion was made by Star and seconded by Al to adjorn. Being no further business the meeting adjourned.
