January 5, 2021

Tahoka Economic Development Board. held its regular Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at City Hall.  The following board members were present: Ray Box, Joe Craig, Monica Stephens, and Britt Wuensche.

The meeting was called to order by David and Ray led the invocation. 

Britt Wuensche stated that he was willing to serve on the board. A motion was made by Monica and seconded by Joe to appoint him to the board.

The financial report was given by Joe Craig.

The board discussed appointing a new President. Ray agreed to accept the position and the board voted unanimously to name him as President.

There is one empty seat remaining on the board, it was decided to name potential candidates at the next meeting.

Shiloh Braddock applied for a Business Grant presented information on his new business, outdoor décor, seasonal items, grilling and other outdoor supplies. A motion was made by Monica and seconded by Britt to approve the grant application with all presence in favor.

Nieves and Lorena Seqovia provided information on their new restaurant Oasis. They presented documentation for improvements to the property in their Business Grant application. A motion was made by Joe and seconded by Britt to approve the grant application with all present in favor.

The board was in Executive Session from 6:05 until 6:25 with no action taken.

A motion was made by Ray and seconded by Monica to adjourn.

Being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
