Other Assistance Programs

The South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG) is a Council of Governments that serves a fifteen-county region in North West Texas. SPAG is the only organization representing all general-purpose governments, both cities and counties, in the region.

​ SPAG established a regional economic development program in 1981. The department has focused on job creation by incorporating elements of planning, financing, marketing, training, and technical assistance (for grant writing services, visit the Regional Services page).
